System Integration

The IT spirit of ionLAB allows to face efficiently to some problems coming out from the natural and messy grow up of the IT inside various structures.

The scientific instrumentation and the informatics development leads (and led) as a consequence the use in the labs of a large number of processors, operating systems and software often not networked together and with data outputs spread over a large number of different devices, not shareable and not backed up.

The offer of ionLAB is to approach the IT problems at different levels as it comes out from the reality of the sites of interest:

• definition and implementation of the network structure, which will be able to communicate safely, fast and efficiently between different instruments
• implementation of precise centralisation politics in order to manage different users or groups of users, permissions, shared resources (discs, printers, etc), backup, disaster recovery, informatics security, privacy, etc.)
• centralised application databases development where all the data from the various instruments are recorded.
