For ionLAB, maintenance means the whole activities carried on to keep the efficiency of a scientific analysis instrument or an entire group of them (a whole lab).
Depending on the needs, ionLAB offers different types of activities, related to the maintenance:
- Service contracts for standard maintenance
- Service on call
- Validations and certificates
- Movement (local or on large distance)
In In any case ionLAB can offer a remote service, networking directly with the instrument through its I-Connect® product.
I-Connect® can be used both with a dedicated ADSL line or with the existing internal lab network and enables the engineers of ionLAB to monitor all the functions of an instrument from distance. This can be done by anybody working in the lab from another site or home. The engineer can easily diagnose remotely any problem or provide any suggestion to the operator who can be taught to solve them. This solution brings to a natural reduction in the service costs as the inspective visit is no more needed.
